In the 80s, one summer, I received three Christmas songs in quick succession. They were this one, "The Animals Are Celebrating" and "It's Christmas in Our House Again." It was somewhat strange to be writing Christmas songs in the heat of summer but I didn't question it too much because I am always happy to be writing. When singing this song and you get to the word, "here" I would put my hand on my heart because this is where Christmas needs to be experienced. It doesn't mean anything if this experience doesn't happen. Vic
