I see with eyes that cannot see
With ears that cannot hear
The ugliness and sadness
The anger and the fear
It's not that I deny these things
It's just that I can see
That things I've paid attention to
Since Christ, are not of me
If it seems I'm wearing blinders
To the facts so prevalent
I'm really wearing braces
In a world whose legs are bent
If it seems my ears are closed
To the noise and the pain
I really wear a hearing aid
That calls my Father's name
If it seems my mind is focused
On an undulating phrase
The title of the book that glows
Within my mind these days
If it seems I have one purpose
If it seems I go one way
Then you know it doesn't matter
What this crazy world may say
The book I read that mattered
Had no title and no words
But the message that it gave me
Is the only one I've heard
