God is a poem Who we must speak
Say Him soft and He is weak
Say Him firm and say Him bold
He will reaffirm your soul
It's not that God is undefined
But more that God has made your mind
He will not stop what you can think
So if you think there is no drink
Of His thirst quencher from His heart
Then it will seem that you can't start
But come to Him and know the truth
Sit across Him in the booth
Eat His bread and drink His wine
And let your mind so intertwine
With the truth and soon you'll see
Why Jesus said, “Please come to Me”
He means it now, He meant it then
He means for us to be His friends
He means for us to take Him in
And never let Him go again
When bound in Christ, we're truly free
When in the world, we're fidgety
We're not made to think so grim
We're only made to think in Him
So give it up, at last, be free
Do not live so desperately
Accept His thoughts as if they're true
And soon you'll see they are for you
