Slowly the dawn begins
Slowly the eyes flicker open
To the stream of peppermint gold
To the cold winter morning
Strawberry icicles
Hang like stockings
Flashing prisms on flat walls
And nothing is left to chance
I am one with God
I am one with His all
Slowly
Emerging from caves
Lumbering bears yawn
And turn reassuringly watching
Their cubs
I twinkle with joy at my oneness with Him
How I am one with His all
Sometime
A door will open
Somewhere
A flash of light in the night
Will usher me into a world
Where nothing is left to chance
Where I will be one, still, with God's dance
With His universal dance
Where twilight will converge
With dawn
And there will be one song
Instead of many
Sometime I will be there
Without knowing when
Without knowing why
Such joy, I'll cry
How could I have thought I wasn't an instrument of God's love?
How could I have ever thought I wasn't?
