A Final Word
Church, do you understand that we are in our very last days? The final harvest of souls before Christ's return, is upon us. It is not the will of the Father that any should perish. Nothing matters more to Christ than to reach every possible soul. So nothing should be more important to you. Do you want to hear, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant?" Or do you want to be ashamed that so much precious time, money, and energy were spent on foolish and frivolous activities and things?
This book is about how to love the atheists. It is simple, yet hard. The simple part is to just obey the command of Jesus to love your neighbor as yourself. If you can't, keep praying and fast if you need to, until you can love everyone with the tender compassion that the Lord has shown you. Love the sinner, the lost, and pray for your enemies.
The hard part is that atheists often appear to be high-minded and self-sufficient. They can be so much harder to love than those who are broken and have reached their last rung on their ladders and have no place to go but God's open arms. Compassion comes more easily for the penitent drunkard, the dead-end drug addict, the prisoner and the suffering. Our love more readily is extended to the elderly saints, especially those in the nursing homes and assisted living centers. But loving the atheists is every bit as important as loving everyone else. We all find it hardest to love people who seem arrogant, whether they believe in God or not. It is especially important to remember that unhealed and unrecognized remnants of any carnal trait will be forgiven in each member of the body of Christ, as they pray for and forgive that carnal trait in others.
Mat 5:46 For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax-collectors do the same?
Mat 5:47 And if you greet your brothers only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax-collectors do so?
Mat 5:48 Therefore be perfect, even as your Father in Heaven is perfect. (MKJV)
Healing is needed all around, but it won't happen unless someone (the Christian?) becomes as a child, humble and dependent on God. Remember you can do all things through Christ, who strengthens you.
John 13: 35: By this all shall know that you are My disciples, if you have love toward one another. (MKJV)
