Chapter 33

Quantum Christianics

We have the ability to focus on anything we desire. The author of The God Delusion and his cohorts, known as the New Atheists, have chosen to focus only on the physical, ignoring the spiritual altogether, except to report their disdain for it. This is their prerogative in our free-willed existence. Most people don't limit their thinking and living to only the physical. However, not denying that the physical is there, they embrace the spiritual and accept, by faith, a whole other dimension of God's universe, discovered, understood and legitimized by faith. By this choice, the physical universe is no longer given high priority to understand (even as it gets crazier and crazier for the atheistic scientist, trying to understand it through quantum physics)16.

People who embrace the spiritual, far from being closed minded, are more open minded than their counterparts, who hope they are making the right selection, of the many selections from which they have to choose. Christians, who allowed Jesus Christ to be their Savior and Lord, have made a supernatural selection or choice, that benefits them individually and benefits society, because they are willing to love their enemies and die to self. In addition, they are learning to hear the Holy Spirit and receive information outside the normal means of the five senses, which allow us to help God in His desire to bring more people into the kingdom of God. This ability to hear the Holy Spirit is developed by our unceasing prayer to the One who created us, and our insatiable hunger to know Him and embrace His righteousness. Despite appearances to the contrary, our primary duty on this earth is to preach the Gospel (the good news), that a Savior from outside our many belief systems, has come in the person of Jesus Christ, and that He, manifesting as the Holy Spirit, is willing to abide in our hearts, cleansing them for His purposes, so that we are free from the entanglements that our inbred sin brings us. Isn't the choice for the spiritual, by faith, a far better one to make than the dead-end road that physical science takes us (which, by the way, includes the belief that we die into oblivion rather than have immortal souls destined for heaven, by our choice to accept Jesus Christ as our Savior)?

I'm not saying that we should make ourselves believe in something that doesn't exist. That would be foolish and self-deceiving. I am saying that, by our belief and faith in God, His legitimacy and truth is revealed to us. The truth is actually seen. From that revelation, we are shown we are on the right track. Faith in God reveals His truth. Just as faith in the physical science reveals a never-ending maze of substance that gets smaller and smaller (micro worlds) or larger and larger (macro worlds), but never leads to the truth that sets us free.

Studying only the physical will never lead to God, who is only revealed to us by our faith. Studying the Creator, through His Word and our prayers, faithfully and reverently spoken from our pure hearts, will lead us toward understanding all the things that the atheists are trying futilely to discover on their own. Doesn't it make more sense to study the Creator in spirit to learn about His creation, rather than just studying the remnants of His creation? Who would stay blind, when the truth can be seen, bright and shining, through eyes of faith? God is here all along, hiding in plain sight. The more empty space the atheistic scientists find, as they study the construction of the basic building blocks, atoms, the more they ought to realize that the empty space is not empty at all. God is not a delusion, but our unwillingness to believe in Him, makes Him seem to be. Our belief in Godlessness has led us to the foolish illusion of there being no God.

Christians, if you have decided that God is weak, you must choose to storm heaven with your penitent prayers and let God show how mighty He is, allowing the faith of His church to be strong again. You must run from resting on your lukewarm laurels, and in this age of "rationalism" discover our supernatural God. Atheists, God has declared that He desires to work with the cold and hot, but the lukewarm He will spew from His mouth. You are definitely not lukewarm! Your faith has been strong, only misguided, that's all. Come over to the side of truth and bring your incredible faith with you, that we might all cease suffering from a Godless delusion.

Dear Lord, embrace this confusing world with your magnificent arms, imbue us with power that we openly acknowledge comes only from You. We are not ashamed of You, Lord, so there is no reason to be ashamed of us. Our strength was lacking, but now, through Christ, it is able, once more to show the world the awesome might of God. We love You, God! Amen.

16. In The God Delusion, Dawkins cited a quote from one of his fellow inquiring minds, who stated, "If you think you understand quantum physics, then you don't understand quantum physics." I'm not saying that studying the physical universe isn't intriguing and fascinating. Obviously, it is. But our God wants us to know Him and the time spent exploring the physical and trying to understand its every nuance, detracts from the Great Commission, the goal of letting everyone know about the love our Lord God, has for us. We need to spend our time hearing the Gospel, doing the Gospel, and preaching the Gospel. That goal leads to our salvation through Jesus Christ, God's Son, who came to earth to die for our sins and teach us how to behave, so that we may go to heaven and dwell there forever. This is preferable over studying the physical universe, and finding everything is mainly space, rather than substance. Or discovering that there may be parallel universes where we exist with a green mustache instead of a regular one, or a parallel universe where a cat is neither dead nor alive unless the box where the cat is, is opened revealing it. It is no accident that God sent us a Savior. We definitely needed one! Back.
