Live Long and ProsperA picture of Mr. Spock played by Leonard Nimoy, of the original Star Trek series.

In an original series Star Trek episode, "Spectre of the Gun," when a chemical reaction that should have taken place didn't, Mr. Spock realized that the entire predicament Captain Kirk, Dr. McCoy, Sulu and he were in was an illusion. All the apparent danger they were facing, he surmised, wasn't real. When the danger appeared most real, Mr. Spock joined his mind with the others that they would be strengthened in the truth that he knew. They overcame the danger because of Mr. Spock's strength of mind. He was positively convinced that no real danger existed unless they bought into it as real. In what turned out to be a reenactment of the gunfight at the OK Corral, a shower of bullets from the "enemy" passed harmlessly through their bodies annihilating a fence behind them.

Mr. Spock recognized the truth about appearances and joined with his friends in knowing the truth for them. Before he could do this, however, he had to recognize what was real and what wasn't. Once this was accomplished, he was able to carry the appearance to the truth in his mind. His companions, who deep within really wanted the truth also, joined with him in his strength.

Mr. Spock's logical mind realized that if one physical law was not working as it should, the entire situation they were in could not be real.

In this world, if one of God's miracles ever really happened, and the Word says they did, then this whole world and all its physical laws, should be questioned.

Even today, millions of God's miracles are occurring. Each one chips away at the false foundation of the carnal world; a world on underpinnings of fear, stilts of hate, props of lack.

Every day, millions of miracles are happening, denied by those embroiled in appearances, not reported in the media because they are "uninteresting," or "overly imaginative," or "they are unable to verify." But every day millions of miracles ARE occurring. Each one represents a step toward the recognition of God's children's oneness with the Father and with all our fellow saved travelers on this world enterprise. As Spock would say, "Live long and prosper!"
